Welcome to The Carbon Club

The Carbon Club, are a not for profit organisation, who are educating and empowering primary and post primary school students to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions through energy monitoring and behavioural change. This will provide the students with practical knowledge to assist them reduce their environmental impact and Co2 emissions.

The Carbon Club are holding their inaugural Schools Competition. Ten Post Primary ETB Schools in Cork will get energy monitoring installed in their schools for FREE and compete against each other to see who can save the most kilowatts of energy & reduce their carbon emissions.

  • Each school designates one teacher as a contact point and sets up an Energy Ambassador Team with Transition Year Students. 

  • The Energy Team monitor the energy consumption in the school and implement behavioural change actions to reduce the energy use in the school.

  • A customised dashboard will provide you with real time energy usage and training will be provided on using the system.

  • We will provide ongoing support as well as energy reporting and analysis that includes recommendations for reducing energy consumption.

  • Schools can track their progress on the leader board on the Carbon Club website.
